My take on Insulate Britain

For the last couple of weeks, I have been hearing a lot about Insulate Britain.

Since everybody around the UK and the world are passionate about combating climate change, when it comes to protesting in the motorway, it is not correct and appropriate way to protest. So in today’s blog post I get to talk about my opinion on Insulate Britain.

My take on Insulate Britain

Protesting in the motorway (freeway/highway). 🛣 Some of them used to be in XR.

Some of people are tired of them (Insulate Britain) protesting in the road, causing a congestion (delay) in the motorway. The same that they were tired of XR (Extinction Rebellion) but I don’t recall XR protesting in the motorway. Other than just holding rallies via protesting on the street & the road as I know XR doesn’t cause trouble but Insulate Britain is different in my opinion.

There is nothing wrong for them (IB - Insulate Britain) to protest. No one is saying that but the road in the motorway is not correct way to protest cos people do drive vehicles that they have to go somewhere. Road trip, dentist, GP appointment, hospital operation, work, funeral, shopping, airport or seeing family/friends.

It is recklessly dangerous to be on the road in the motorway (without vehicle to drive).

So if Insulate Britain really want to promote their cause about raising awareness about climate change (given we know the govt & Boris Johnson aren’t doing about it & not doing enough), they should stop being nuisances by causing congestion, trouble & controversy. The way they are doing, it damages their cause of promoting the awareness of how we humans should do to fight climate change.

They (Insulate Britain) can get their message out by protesting about climate change except protesting in the motorway.

That’s my take on Insulate Britain.

Normally, I wouldn’t comment on any group or person unless he/she or any group is doing it for the wrong reason except getting the message out rightly. After all, climate change is nothing something that we should ignore.
