Putin’s Russia is a pariah state

Last week was an horrific week for Ukraine, Europe and the rest of the world. Putin’s Russia invaded the sovereign country that has not done anything wrong to Kremlin or the Russian people. Ukraine 🇺🇦

I said on my Thursday blog post couple of days ago that the Russian people does not approve Vladimir Putin’s despicable actions to launch an invasion of the independent sovereign country who used to be part of the USSR.

Having said that, now ordinary Russians are being targeted online just because their government invaded Ukraine which I seen it on social media platforms. Anti Russian sentiment (Russophobia) is never acceptable. They (Russian citizens) have got nothing to do with it. They strongly denounces Vladimir Putin (the President of Russia) by protesting in Russian cities like Saint Petersburg & Moscow. They (Russian citizens) protested against sending the Russian troops to attack Ukraine through bombardment & bringing war and suffering to the innocent Ukrainian citizens. So I am highly urging everyone to refrain from bullying any Russian person which is no fault of his/her own that Putin is an autocratic and imperialistic menace who has no regards for freedom and democracy. After all, it is Putin’s war. Not Russia’s war.

Look up at Vladimir Putin’s track records of invasion since he has been in power in Russia for very long time since the start of this century (21st century).

Example

Georgia (ex Soviet state) 🇬🇪 in 2008 = Invaded

Crimea (used to be part of Ukraine now it is part of Russia) in 2014 - Invaded and annexed.

Eastern Ukraine in 2014 - invaded especially for the fact that pro Russian separatists are based there. Fighting the Ukrainian soldiers.

Plus before Vladimir Putin came into power as the president and prime minister, Russia had invaded nations before when it was called Soviet Russia.

Example

The Soviet Union had invaded Poland in 1939 (pact with Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler before the Nazis did indeed invaded the USSR in 1941).

Soviet Union invaded Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Finland in 1939 to 1940. During WW2.

Then they invaded Hungary in 1956.

Then they invaded Czechoslovakia in 1968.

And they invaded Afghanistan in 1979.

So what does say about the Russian Federation’s history of invading countries? That’s how Vladimir Putin wants to go back to the days of the Soviet Union with feeling nostalgic & despair over the fact that the Cold War is over & the USSR was disbanded in 1991? If Putin really thinks like that then he has got another thing coming because we know for sure that the USSR will never be restored. Even if some people who lived through Cold War era who may miss the times of life in USSR but feeling nostalgic & wanting to bring it back is not really going to solve anything. It will create problems & it already has with the case of Ukraine.

Now I really feel the pain for Ukrainian people as there are many of them who have escaped the country to neighbouring countries (Poland, Hungary, Romania, Moldova and Slovakia) and that they are refugees. Every country in the country including the United Kingdom should allow many Ukrainian refugees to stay in the country for longer period until the war is over. Meanwhile the government (British) here are being selfishly unhelpful in terms of not waving visas for refugees from Ukraine to come to the UK.

And finally, Russia is facing sanctions from the UK, the United States, the European Union, Canada, Japan & Australia. Even Singapore & South Korea. Knowing that Russia under Putin is a pariah state. Isolated internationally. Everything from sports to entertainment and it should be the case until the Russian invasion of Ukraine is over & Vladimir Putin not being in power anymore & that he is tried at The Hague as a war criminal. Especially he talks of recently on putting nukes on special high alert.

No wonder unfortunately we have been transitioned from the global pandemic (coronavirus pandemic) for two years to now the possible Third World War or nuclear war. What a sad times that we live in this cruel world.

So that is the second time that I talked about it on this blog. My thoughts and prayers goes to the people of Ukraine and that they don’t deserve to live in fear. Nobody from all sides (Ukrainian 🇺🇦 & Russian 🇷🇺) wants a war. The war that brings devastation and suffering. I hope and pray that should better be resolved ASAP before anymore damage is done by the Putin regime.

Yesterday, I took the photos of the rally (demonstration protest) in Trafalgar Square, Charing Cross, Central London. 🪧🇺🇦 The protest against Putin who is autocratically tyrant and menace who has no regards for freedom and democracy. I stand with Ukraine & I stand with the people of Ukraine.
