Honourable mention: Songs of summertime 2021

This is going to be a very short blog post. 

I would like to give a honourable mention to one song as someone recommended me on Twitter to add a song on my songs of summertime 2021. 

This song I listened on Soundcloud is called “Hang on to Summer” by Alvin 85. soundcloud.com I have listened to it. It is an awesome summer original song that I ever listened on Soundcloud. I enjoyed the song a lot. 

So that makes 21 songs in total.

At least, honourable mention is welcome & that I could make an additional summer song playlist as an extension or extra song playlist. Anyways, it is indeed the last days of summer given September (tomorrow is the new month as it is autumn month metro-logically) & summer officially ends with two or three weeks astronomically.

Songs of Summertime playlist

Hello Everybody

How are you doing today? I trust that you are well & that you are enjoying yourself in Bank Holiday Monday (especially if you are in the UK). 

In today’s blog post, I will include the songs that are summer tunes. Plus I think I am late to the party (sorry about that) as we are in the summer time (late summer as it will be over). I wish that I could had published weeks ago or around July or in June. Anyways, it does not matter. 🎵🎶😀🙂

So here are the songs of the summer. Enjoy my summer song playlist. Whether you are eating a ice cream, going to the beach or even a festival (as you stay safe because you know, Covid measures like wearing mask, etc. Especially at the time of the writing).

1. Summer time - DJ Jazzey Jeff & the Fresh Prince. 

Summer, summer, summertime. Time to sit back and unwind. Will Smith in his early days as an rapper & his time as the “Fresh Prince of Bel Air” TV show. 🎵🎶 If you have not heard this tune before, I highly recommend you go and listen to it. You’ll love it. 🍉☀️⛱🕶

2. In the Sunmertime - both versions (Mungo Jerry - Original & reggae cover by Shaggy). 

“In the summertime, when the weather is hot

You can stretch right up and touch the sky” 

Both versions are good. For me, I like Shaggy version of the song in the summertime. 

3. Peter Andre - Mysterious Girl

 Peter Andre (UK celebrity) was a singer? I know the song for very long time. The song itself is so catchy & that it has the summer melody & reggae. 😀🙂🇯🇲

4. Summertime Blues - The Who & Eddie Cochran

There are plenty of the versions of the same song. For instance, originally sung by Eddie Cochran. So for me, I chose the Who version of summertime blues. I hope you & any of my readers will not have summertime blues. 😀🙂🎵🎶🍉⛱🎸

5. Harry Styles - Watermelon Sugar

Song of the last summer. Summer of 2020 despite it was not normal summer because of the pandemic. This year’s one is normality and recovery. I bet many of you will know the song “Watermelon Sugar” by Harry Styles. Ex member of One Direction. 

6. TLC - Waterfalls 

90s summer tune and one of the best song. Waterfalls by TLC. 

7. The Surfaris - Wipe Out 

60s guitar riff and summer tune. Goes into together. The perfect song tune especially if you are going to the seaside (the beach). 

8. Madonna - Holiday

”Holiday, celebrate”. One of the best Madonna songs that you can listen in the summertime. 

9. Summer Breeze - Seals & Croft & The Isley Brothers (both versions). 

I like both versions. The original (Seals & Croft) & cover (Isley Brothers). For me, if I were to choose, it will be the Isley Brothers version of summer breeze. Summer can really be breezy. ⛱☀️🍉

10. Daft Punk featuring Pharrell Williams & Nile Rodgers - Get Lucky 

“We got all night to get lucky”. Daft Punk. Big hit song of the summer as it was released in 2013.

11. Calvin Harris - Summer 

“When I met you in the summer”. Summery dancy dance pop hit song by Calvin Harris. Released in 2014. By now, you should had known the tune. For me, I do. 😀🙂🎵🎶🕶☀️⛱🍉

12. Dizzee Rascal - Holiday 

2009 summer hit song by rapper Dizzee Rascal. Very catchy song. 

13. Simple Plan featuring Sean Paul - Summer Paradise 

Take me back to summer paradise. Knowing Simple Plan & Sean Paul are invited for the party. In all seriousness, this is really one of the good summer tracks. A feel good summer song. 😀🙂🎵🎶⛱🎸

14. Arrow - Hot, Hot, Hot

Feeling hot, hot, hot in the summer time? Try drink some water to stay dehydrated while enjoying listening to the tunes of summer. 

15. Percy Faith - Theme from a summer place 

My mother likes this song so much as she keeps playing the song over and over again. I thought that I’ll include on my list of songs of summer playlist. I even know this song for years now. 😀🙂⛱🎵☀️

16. Weezer - Islands in the Sun

”When you’re on a holiday”. First verse that starts the singing. Anyhoo, it is awesome pop rock summer song by Weezer. 

17. Bryan Adams - Summer of 69 

Sunmer of 69. What a tune by Bryan Adams. One of his best songs ever. Especially when there is a summer season, summer of 69 can be good. 

18. Barry Manilow - Copacabana 

“At the copa. Copacabana”. Copacabana would be the beach in Brazil. Anyway enjoy the song by Barry Manilow. Especially if you have not heard before. It is of the awesome hit songs from the 70s. 

19. Bob Marley vs Funkstar Deluxe - Sun is shining. 

Dance remix of original Bob Marley’s song “Sun is Shining. Impressive. 👏

And finally, final song on my songs of summer music playlist is track 20. 🎶⛱🍉😀🙂

20. The Ventures - Hawaii Five 0 theme

Great theme song. Especially that I am fan of Hawaii Five 0 (TV show). Ahoa from Hawaii (actually I am not in Hawaii. I wish I am in Hawaii). 😀🙂🌺⛱🍉

Travel destinations that I would love to go part 2

This is part 2 of my blog post. Travel Destinations that I would love to go.

In my previous blog post, I added 7 countries that I would love to go. I added Nigeria, Scotland (UK), Lebanon, Australia, Canada, Italy and Egypt. Now I am including more countries that I would like to go (especially in the post pandemic world). 

1. Belgium 🇧🇪🇪🇺

Belgium is one of European countries that I would definitely want to go. In fact pre Covid, I really wanted to make Belgium the next European travel destination after visiting Spain in 2018 and France in 2019. I didn’t had the chance to make it happen. 🙂😀🇧🇪

It’s easy to visit Brussels, Belgium via Eurostar if you are coming from London St Pancras station. So I could aboard the Eurostar train again. This time, going to Belgium.

2. Portugal 🇵🇹🇪🇺

Spain is close to Portugal. If you think Portugal is part of Spain, then you are mistaken & you probably never heard of the country (Portugal) before. If you do happen to know anyone who is Portuguese, my advice is don’t assume that Portuguese are Spanish just because both nations are geographically in Southern part of Europe.The Iberian Peninsula = Iberia (& I don’t mean the airline Iberia). 😀🙂🇵🇹

Anyhoo, Portugal is one of my dream travel destination. I even have the Portuguese phrasebook and travel guide books to Lisbon & Porto. Maybe in the next year or couple of years from now. Who knows. 

3. Ghana 🇬🇭 

Since I am Brit of Nigerian descent as I mentioned on my first blog post that I am half Nigerian I reckon that it would be much easier for me to travel to Ghana with my both passports (British & Nigerian) because like Nigeria, Ghana is an member of the ECOWAS (Economic Community of West African States). UK travellers travelling to any of West African countries (Nigeria, Ghana, etc) is visa required so I would have to be travel wise if I really do plan to visit Ghana one day. 🙂🇬🇭

4. Mexico 🇲🇽 

Hola Amgios. Next country oh the list. Mexico. 

Ah Mexico. The country that has mariachi bands, cool looking Mexican hats and the lovely tasty cuisine (Tacos, Doritos, aveocado, maize, beans, tomato, squash and chilli). 🇲🇽🌮 I highly recommend Mexico especially if you haven’t visited there. That includes anyone who have been to Mexico before & I would say go there again. Hopefully some day, I would love to travel to Mexico. Especially the nation is one of Spanish speaking countries & it is near to the United States of America. So yeah, if I do have a money (enough money), Mexico would be the best place to go there for gateway. 😀🙂🇲🇽 

5. Ireland 🇮🇪🇪🇺

Ireland have a lot to offer to the world. Booze (& Guinness), hospitable people, Irish dancing & yes, St Patrick’s Day (held annually on 17th March) & pubs (Irish pubs). Republic of Ireland is another place that I would love to go. 🇮🇪☘️

6. China 🇨🇳 

China is definitely one of must see places to visit in the world. Lots of tourist attractions & landmarks including The Great Wall of China & the Forbidden City in the Imperial place in Tiananmen Square. In the Chinese capital Beijing.

Now here’s the thing. Western sites including Google are censored & banned in China (even VPNs I can be wrong. Who knows) so when it comes to thing anything politically or any sensitive about China, be very careful & not do or say anything that can land you into trouble. 

I for one would definitely go to China. Since I am very aware it is not typical country where things are restricted. 

7. Jamaica 🇯🇲 

Jamaica. Home to the music genre that is famous in the world: Reggae and other genres. Birthplace of famous people like Bob Marley, Sean Paul, Sean Kingston, Shaggy, Jimmy Cliff, Peter Tosh & Usain Bolt. I have always been dreaming that I wanted to go to Jamaica for very long time. Whatever I think of Jamaica, I think about the paradise, accent (Jamaican) & the reggae music sung by reggae musicians. So Jamaica, here I come (hopefully one day). 😀🙂🇯🇲🎶🎵 I hope I do not have to be Rasta to visit the beautiful country. 

Anyways, that is all for now. There would be plenty of more to come soon.

Hello everybody. How are you doing today? 

Since we live in the digital age where we see so much of hilarious videos. Whether on TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter or even YouTube. All we need is entertainment. Funny entertainment. Something that can take us humans off the mind on some things that are too much (everything from the news to everything negative in our personal lives) so that we can focus on the positive. Joy. That is good for our health. Joy. Forget all the bad stuff. 

In fact, I may start to think doing this like a week,

Guy: See, that’s how I cannot be bothered to debate with you cos you don’t know how to logically debate well. Believing lies over truth. The UK never stopped being an independent when it was an member of the European Union. Never. 

British Guy: Oh snap, I regret voting for Brexit & the Tories.

More update on my legal challenge & court date

Brief blog post 

I have more update about my legal challenge against Travel Unravel & Barclays. 

Today, I received a letter from the court. 

Two papers. One is the same paper which Barclays’s lawyer TLP (the ones who have been bothering me & my father on email to drop a legal challenge against both Barclays & Travel Unravel)  rejected the court hearing trial couple of months ago in May. 

The other one is the court date. 

It will be on Monday 7th February 2022. Next year in the second month & it will be court proceedings on the telephone (no face to face physically. I am not sure about the idea of court hearing via telephone which it will be better if we do face to face in person physically at the court). 23 weeks & 5 months (6 six months from now). 165 days. I have informed my dad about this.

Anyway, I am not going to upload the photos of the letter due to confidential & personal reasons which i do not think that I am allowed to. At least I know it will be held at my local county court in Barnet & that would be in Finchley Central. Telephone court hearing. 

I hope and pray that should go well by the grace of god. Although I really do not get why on earth would I have to wait for February 6th next year? By then, it would had been a year since I became victimised of fraud and scam by Travel Unravel (January 2021) while at the same time, selfish woman (by the name of Helen. Helen U) who gave my dad nothing but grief to come to the UK from Nigeria in very awful time when the UK just entered into third Covid lockdown and that it would had been a year (February 2021) since Barclays (my bank) selfishly deducted £522.23 from my bank account that resulted me in overdraft. 

Doesn’t make any logical sense. Having to wait from 6 months until 6th February 2022. I was expecting either it should had been held in the autumn this year (either September, October or November). No wonder the court is still on the recess due to summer break & yet, set a date for February next year & not in any of the final four months of this year 2021. 

Plus still no responses from Travel Unravel (& to be frank, I no longer give a tosh whether Travel Unravel responses or not since I know they are very wicked & selfish lowlife scammers). Tonight, I completed a response letter with a copy of the default judgement application letter which I commented couple of months ago in May & that I will have it posted in the daylight. 

So that is all I can say about the latest update on my situation against two defendants (Travel Unravel & Barclays).

Afghanistan needs help

It is now been a week already since I last talked about Afghanistan. Afghanistan: The nation in horrifyingly trouble  

Since I published my blog post, Taliban (terror group who have no regards to human rights & women’s rights) have took over Kabul after gaining grounds everywhere in the country. It really did shocked the world. Taliban barbarians in the control of power as the Afghan President had left the country. 

I have seen enough of heartbreaking news coverage about the nation on TV, Internet & social media given it really does desperately need help from the international community. 

I said in my previous blog post that I do support the withdrawal (US withdrawal from Afghanistan in the non chaotic and reckless way). Unfortunately, Joe Biden (US President) didn’t really handled it well. No wonder his approval rating have dropped. reuters.com 

It is true that American troops alongside British troops and NATO troops cannot be in Afghanistan forever. At least most of NATO troops including the UK is already withdrawn from Afghanistan. No chaos. Yet, when the US withdraws from the war torn country (Afghanistan) & didn’t do anything like helping & training the Afghan army, Taliban gains every single provincial cities and towns in Afghanistan which was music to their ears. 

It is very sad. America shouldn’t had invaded Afghanistan in the first place. We know Afghanistan & Iraq are not responsible of September 11 attacks 20 years ago. What have America, Britain & NATO done for the last 20 years other than the eradication of Al Qaeda & Bin Laden? None. Even Biden said admittedly that the United States is not there in Afghanistan for “nation building”. google.co.uk 

No wonder Taliban was in power before. Now after 20 years, they are back. Fall of Kabul. Joe Biden mishandling the situation while UK Foreign Secretary Dominic Rabb was on holiday. What a utter shambles. news.sky.com Even Boris Johnson went on holiday too. Yet both of them (Raab & Johnson) never took the situation happening in Afghanistan seriously? Unbelievable and disgusting. google.co.uk 

Afghanistan has the history of foreign occupations: everything from the British empire to the Soviet Union to the United States. Even the Roman Empire. What’s next? China? I don’t think so & that shouldn’t really be the case. Invading & occupying the country like Afghanistan is very impossible. 

So that is my rant on the ongoing development in Afghanistan now there is a humanitarian catastrophe happening already & that some of Afghans have already left the country.

I really do feel sorry for the people of Afghanistan. My thoughts and prayers goes out to them. 🇦🇫😔🙏

The country is really in the crisis. I hope someday, Afghanistan will be the peaceful & stable country. No Taliban rule, no foreign intervention by the US or any foreign country. Peaceful, normal & stable country. I pray that the day will one day come. For now, Afghan people really do need help from all of us regardless whether we live in the world. 

Covid: They think it’s all over?

Brief blog post 

So it is now been a month since 19th of July. The so called “Freedom Day” in England. mrlimitless95.blogspot.com 

The freedom day hysteria had really made some people believe that the Covid pandemic is over & that Covid is gone completely. The end of social distancing and mask wearing (from compulsory to personal). 

Well how it did really go? Is the Covid infection rate still low in the UK? Here’s the results.

Result: Covid infections cases didn’t stay low that long & that it have gone up. Man, people really do have short memories. Believing the hype Covid is gone. The pandemic is not over. Shame on the Prime Minister Boris Johnson.

Four weeks since the so called freedom day occurred in England. Many people believed the hype despite social distancing and face mask wearing is no longer compulsory & that it is personal choice optionally. Well since I am fully vaccinated, the pandemic is far from over. Wait until school kids returned to school in September from 6 weeks of summer break (school summer holidays) then Covid cases in the UK (particularly England) will go up. Some people really do have short memories.

So let’s not be deceived by the word of the politician or world leader. Claiming that it is over & that “everything is okay” until it is not. Until the science has changed & the Covid rate is dropped completely everywhere in the world, Covid will be with us for long time so let’s continue to stay safe & wear a mask as I reiterate it on my previous blog post. mrlimitless95.blogspot.com
