The popularity of Wordle

Green shade, yellow shade. In case if you haven’t yet seen in your social media feeds, there is a online word game that is being popular at this moment. Wordle. So in today’s blog post, I will talk about the popularity of Wordle.

What is Wordle? 

Wordle Is a game that is played once a day and can be played through a web browser. It is a puzzle word game. It’s a crossword. Digital version of it if you like. Digital crossword. 

Players have to guess a mystery five letter word known as the “Wordle” in six attempts. 

It was created by Josh Wardle (Reddit software engineer), who invented it for his partner, who likes word games. 

As it was created in autumn in the month of October, only the friends & family of Josh Wardle first seen it before it was launched online & that’s where it started slowly to become popular and today at this moment, it is popular word game on the internet. 

When I first saw it on Twitter with many tweets from the people I followed, my mind was like “why are they tweeting with two colour shades of square”? That’s how I discovered the popularity of wordle & some of my friends & followers seemed to enjoy playing the game & sharing it on Twitter & other social media platforms. 

So what do I think of it?

Well I have not yet started to play it. I’ll find time to play Wordle. 😀🙂⬜️⬛️🟨🟩

 It is always good to play something new especially where the popularity of something that we have not heard or seen of before. There will always be things to be discovered. 

Recommendation of playing Wordle?

I would highly recommend to everybody to play Wordle especially if you want to test your intelligence to see whether you’ll be wonderfully clever to play it. It can be fun & joyful.

It seems this year 2022 have got a fantastic start and that is with the popular word game Wordle. 😀🙂🧩🔤

Irish language - Official in the EU

​Couple of months ago, I talked about on my October 2021 blog post that Ireland overwhelmingly supports the membership of the European Union. At the time, I talked about the attention seeking nuisance Nigel Farage who wanted to go on his conquest of wanting to get Ireland out of the EU & does not fully realise that the Irish people are pro European. 🇮🇪🇪🇺

Well today, I am going to talk about the Irish language because couple of weeks ago, it became an official language in the EU. 🇮🇪🇪🇺☘️

It had finally gain full recognition. I didn’t know that the Irish language was limited due to the derogation & that it had been that way since 2007. Since the Irish derogation came to the end, the documents & materials of translation in the Irish language can be published in full without any limitations. That is an amazing. 🇮🇪

Irish is an European language 🇪🇺 and the official language of the European Union. 🇮🇪☘️It would had been quite sad if the Irish language is not recognised as an European which we all know it is an European language despite English is the language in the Republic of Ireland. 

My take on this

I say congratulations to Ireland & the Irish people. 😀🙂🇮🇪🇪🇺 Few months ago I wrote a blog post about why Ireland supports the EU Membership & to see the Irish language being a official EU language, it is another reason why that Irish people overwhelmingly supports the EU membership and that should an reminder for everyone regardless your opinion on the EU. There is no doubt about the fact that Ireland is pro EU especially now that the Irish language can be spoken, written & translated in EU institutions. 

So here is the Irish government website about the Irish language being granted as the official language with recognition. It must had took so long to get a full recognition at last. 🙂😀

State of America one year on post Trump

​One year ago this week (Thursday 20th January 2022), America and the world said goodbye to Donald Trump & his awful chaotic presidency as Joe Biden became the US President.

However I am not really impressed with Joe Biden because he has not done much of his agenda as the president to the American people & that his approval rating is low. All because of his messed up handling in Afghanistan & Haitians being whipped in Rio Grande in Texas.

Plus two selfish Democrats (Joe Manchin & Krysten Sinema who behaved more like Republicans as both are Conservative Dems) voted with the Republicans to block voting rights bills & doesn’t want any changes to the filibuster in the US Senate or getting rid of it. Also Joe Manchin himself is against Joe Biden’s presidential agenda build back better which is the economic package that can help America recover from the two years of the Covid pandemic and the Republicans are still the party of Donald Trump. Trunpism still runs through the Republican Party. No wonder a year ago, I talked about it on the eve of the inauguration of Joe Biden as the 46th president Plus, it has been one year already since mayhem that took place in Capitol Hill, Washington D.C caused by pro Trump fanatics. 

Look at the state of America now. It is still politically divided. Not much has changed since Biden entered the White House a year ago. The way this is going, Democrats may lose this year’s midterm congressional election. if Biden doesn’t get his act together in order to deliver his agenda to the American people & improving his approval ratings. The Dems will lose the House & the Senate to the GOP. The party that is nowadays & unbelievably Trumpian & continues to spread lies about US election 2020 (which we all know for sure that Donald Trump lose the election) & that they are no longer serious to be a force of power electorally. The party that was once the party of Lincoln, Eisenhower, Nixon, Ford, Reagan & Bush (both senior 41 & junior 43). The Democrats and Joe Biden better not bottle & deliver meaningful and fundamental changes to the American people or they’ll be toast for 2022 US midterm elections & 2024 US presidential election. 

So one year on given I was relived when Trump was finally gone. But I am really not impressed with Joe Biden even I happened to like him. He (Biden) barely delivers to the American people other than just some accomplishments. 

Just look at his approval ratings It shows Biden is really not popular like he was a year ago when he entered the White House 

Joe Biden & the Democrats better deliver something good & credible to every single American citizen with the presidential agenda so that can help themselves to retain the House & the Senate this year’s midterms than losing to the Trumpian Republican Party. The stakes are too high & no one wants to see Donald Trump back in the White House even if he does eventually runs for the President again in 2024. Worst of it not to sound crazy but according to Canadian professor, America would be under dictatorship by 2030 Rightwing dictatorship which I really really hope and pray that should not be the case. 

So it’s time that Biden do something about his approval ratings & take action by product something into results rather than doing nothing & let his approval ratings continuing to go down so low and it’s time that both of Conservative Dems Manchin & Sinema stop being an nuisance & realise that what they are doing is the favour to the Republicans. No wonder the Republican Party does not care about democracy & that they are doing voter suppression in red states. Democracy in America cannot be taken for granted. Not by Manchin, Sinema or the Republicans

So that is my opinion at the state of America one year on. 

Short update about my legal challenge

​This is going to be a brief blog post with an update about my legal challenge. 

Today, I received unexpected letter from Travel Unravel in order to stop my legal challenge against them. Just three days after I talked about it on Wednesday three days ago on my blog.

They (Travel Unravel fraudsters) sent me a letter & cheque today (which I find it shockingly unbelievable) given we (myself & my dad) are very clear that we won’t accept the payment from them who have defrauded us & who did not bothered to reply from the whole year 2021 as they have got my bank account details. 

Very stupid attempt by them to bribe us by stopping our court proceedings against them (Travel Unravel).

I will not be intimidated by Travel Unravel & their ways of bribery. I have suffered so much grief & stress all because of Travel Unravel & my bank (Barclays) who did neglected me & putting me in overdraft debt for a short time. 

So that is a brief update on my legal challenge for now given I talked about it in more details three days ago. 

Pen Pal is old fashioned but it still exists

​Long before Internet and the digital age, there was pen pal. Pen pal in an traditional sense of writing letters to the friend who is a pen friend but haven’t met in person as the sender & the recipient does not know each other personally.

So what is a pen pal? Here is the definition of the meaning of pen pal. 

Noun

“A pen pal is someone write friendly letters to and receive letters from, although the two of you may never have met”. 

This is a the meaning of the word “pen pal” from Collins dictionary. 

While the Covid pandemic occurred in 2020 & all of us were all staying at all & didn’t see family and friends, I have personally thought of some new hobbies from language learning to writing a blog (which is why I startled to become an blogger as I am today). 

So last week Thursday, I started having an account on Pen Pal site called Pen Pal World website. Currently, I am in the early stage of setting up my profile there as I created without using my name (my actual name) & that I only received one message from someone from Vietnam. 🇻🇳

My goal is that if I want to visit any country in the world, I don’t have to wait to make friends & learn some languages, I can make friends online & that is only by being a pen pal (without using my real name because of safety reasons as I am a careful person until I am convinced that I can go forward by letting someone to see me in person gradually & taking a friendship into the next level).

I think we can all agree that the last two years under the Covid pandemic have been tough & that we couldn’t spend times with family and friends. So for me to start being pen pal, I am doing it in the old skool (old school as in with letter “k”) way. I am sure many of you have heard the expression. “Old school meets new school”. Pen palling although it is old fashioned, it still exists especially everything is on the Internet. All online.

So yeah, I never done a pen paling before given I am very good with typing & writing & that it is my strength as I excelled great in the English lessons during my time in education (primary school, secondary/high school & college). Pen Pal nowadays is not much traditional like it was before the internet & social media sites (writing & posting letters to addresses). It’s good when we try things something new & things rather than always the usual & old stuff.

So I have started doing a pen paling stuff. Even it is old fashioned. 😀🙂 At least I tried to make friends when I was in Barcelona, Spain in 2018 which I was not successful except I only made one friend who is a friend to my dad’s friend & I made two friends one year later in Paris, France in 2019. 🇪🇸🇫🇷🇪🇺🗺✈️🚄

Also, I am sure that may be some of you who have done pen paling before the internet and social media because pen palling was the “Instagram” of the day. I recall saying in last month’s blog post that we have to use things that we have got. Otherwise, it becomes not existent. I also said it would be unfortunate if we abandon some things that are old & going for the latest trends. Pen Pal was the trend in the pre internet era. It is still a trend. It’a not like what it used to be pre internet days. 

So pen palling is a great way to make friends online as you follow the rules & being careful online while being a pen pal to new friend. Whether is by writing traditionally or online. I know the older generation do writes letters to his/her pen pals & even prisoners do write to pen pals too and school children write to pen pal as part of learning which is a fun activity.

Finally, I would highly recommend to anyone that if you want to make new friends whether is visiting any country in the world, learning languages, learning culture or knowing each other’s  hobbies and interests, you can start by making an effort to go to any pen pal websites or apps. ✍️🙂😀⌨️

One year on & latest update on my legal challenge

Last year, I have been writing a blog posts quite a lot about myself being conned by Travel Unravel fraudsters & that they still have my money to this day & not even bothered to refund me back to me immediately. 

15th January 2021 was the year when I was victimised of scam by them (Travel Unravel) given the flight ticket was never issued in the first place & that I only paid a flight ticket price of £522.23 on my dad’s behalf for a friend (which unfortunately she was completely a nuisance & gave my dad a headache). 

Now we are in the new year, I got one more month left until the court date.

Next few weeks as I’ll have a court date in February, I received a email from Travel Unravel Private Holidays Limited two days ago (Monday 17th January 2022). 

I am not going to show it in full because of confidential & safety reasons but I will say this.

I find this an complete laughable. Especially after a year of refusal to refund £522.23 back to me immediately and not being bothered to response to our legal challenge. Now they finally respone to it. Travel Unravel fraudsters as I received an email from their own lawyer (lawyer from CJJ LAW) on their behalf. 

Now they (Travel Unravel) emailed me with a threat to strike out my default judgment against them by applying for application claim notice (which I know it will not work successfully). 

Travel Unravel should had refund money back to me instantly. Instead, they didn’t & spent the entire year of not responding & even trying to scam me by wanting my account details. 

Plus they already got my account details when my dad emailed to them two or three times and yet, they are pursuing with a lie? Knowing full well that they have my got bank account details (sort code & account number) but behaves as if they really have not my account details. Very unbelievable & stupidity. 

This just proves not only Travel Unravel is unreliable travel agency & that they’re based in India, claiming they have physical branch in the UK but also, they are complete terrible liars. Including their own lawyer. They do not have a good argument to demonstrate their own defence & they do not have an evidence that is different to mine as I provided it to the court. 

At least my dad who used to be a lawyer (& is my legal representative) told me not to email them as I know I am not going to anyway. Even Travel Unravel lawyer wanted to email them back by today which I am not really going to fall for their games.

Also it has been a year (15th January) since the fraudulent transaction had took apart when the flight ticket (for my dad’s friend who was a nuisance to my dad by giving him grief & that nowadays he does not speak to her especially that she had left the UK in May last year) was never issued in the first place. Travel Unravel fraudster bothering me & my dad about bag luggage which was never part of the flight ticket which myself & dad refused to pay more money for that. Next thing, despite my dad already emailed to them, they (Travel Unravel scammers) failed to respond & that’s where I started my legal challenge against them. No wonder other defendant Barclays have not fully acknowledge about the fraudulent transaction & instead deducting £522.23 from my account in February last year which it resulted me in overdraft debt for very short time despite claiming they added £522.23 back to my bank account one month earlier  after I reported it as an fraudulent & they believed Travel Unravel by claiming there was no “fraud”.

Meanwhile I replied to the email response by Barclays’s lawyer yesterday today with the request of contact details (email address & phone number) to pass on to the court by indicating that it will be myself and my father (who has a lots of experiences as an lawyer) to attend the court hearing remotely via telephone & that he (my dad) will act as my legal representative.

So that is all I can say about my legal challenge for now.

Boris and partygate scandal

​Last month I published my rant on Boris Johnson as he is indeed the worst PM ever when there were 10 Downing Street Christmas party scandal. 

Now there are more revelations about how the government partied on so many occasions throughout the coronavirus pandemic period while all of us were at home & cannot be with loved ones & sadly, lost anyone that we know. From relative (family member) to friend, colleague, etc. This is really no laughing matter. 

Boris Johnson is really busted big time. 

Another reminder why Boris Johnson is the worst prime minister ever as I talked about it in last month’s blog post. Especially with the latest news developments that he was there at May 2020 party in Number 10 (Downing Street) for 25 minutes and claims that it was a “work event”. Work event in the Garden of Downing Street which was not really a meeting. It was indeed a party (social gatherings). “Bring your booze” party with wine. 

How disrespectful is that? We citizens voted for the government in the UK & they partied while we all followed strict Covid 19 rules & guidance and they didn’t followed their own rules? Their own regulations that clearly that you cannot have a party or meeting more than one person from households for gathering. It is very disgraceful. One rule for us & another rule for themselves. 

And here is the worst thing about No 10 parties. They even partied one day before the funeral of Prince Philip in April last year. It is very clear to me given I know from day one that Boris Johnson and the government have totally mishandled the covid situation in England but for them to have a party behind the scene while we were following the rules. It shows there is total disregard for the government. 

For me, I simply have enough of the selfishness of the whole government. Boris Johnson should really step down as the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. The more he stays, the more that he’ll inflict more damages to the country & we all know obviously that he is not fit to govern the country & I know from day one that he would be an rubbish PM & that has proven my point. 

Now what happens? Sue Gray inquiry report & some of Conservative MPs do want their leader Boris Johnson gone. Given opposition parties (Labour, Liberal Democrat, Green, Plaid & SNP) all wanted him gone. Even the Scottish Conservative leader Douglas Ross wanted him gone too. It is very clear to me that the country has no confidence in Boris Johnson. I doubt that he’ll still be the PM & Tory leader for the next general election. 

So that is all I can say about the latest news revelations about the partygate in Number 10.
