America will always be the land of immigrants

We know that the United States of America is the land of immigrants. So here is an interesting infographic figures from CNN. 😀🙂🇺🇸

According to US census 2020, America is becoming more diverse than ever before and “less white”. Given we know the American people have roots that originated from different parts of the world, I am aware that white Americans are the majority of the population demographic in the US. Well that is going to change. Something that the racists, bigots, xenophobes and white supremacists (like the likes of KKK, proud boys & extreme fascistic right wingers) wouldn’t like it. Plus they should know that the land used to belong to Native Americans before white Europeans (mainly British & even French & Spanish) came to occupied & colonised the country in North America & destroyed homes that belonged to the Native Americans. Especially we know blacks were brought as slaves to America from Africa & that they never had freedom from slavery and racism until in 19th Century when slavery ended in America when Abraham Lincoln was the US President at the height of American civil war & segregation (Jim crow laws) for black Americans (African Americans) ended in the 1960s. Even Martin Luther King Jr made a famous speech in 1963 (I have a dream) that blacks should be treated equally and not to be judged on the colour of skin. 

I know the Americans are polite and nice people as I visited there two times in my life. When I visited Florida, I saw diversity in America with many Americans regardless of race, creed & language. Florida have many people from various countries including Spanish speaking countries: Cuba, Mexico, Colombia, Spain, Dominican Republic, etc and that the Spanish language is spoken commonly in the US state of Florida. That is where places like Orlando (I visited there two times with my family) & Miami where you can find many diverse and migrant communities. 

America is a melting polt for multiculturalism and that I have no doubt that will continue. No wonder in the recent years, Donald Trump undermined America’s position in the world when he enacted anti immigration policies (muslim ban, the border wall at US - Mexico border, breaking up families & detaining children at the border. The list goes on) for 4 years in power. Now America have a different president (Democrat. Joe Biden) who is friendly and understanding when it comes to immigration. Although I was shocked to read about the recent news where migrants from Haiti was being whipped by US Border Patrol officers in Texas due to recent events in Haiti. From political assassination to earthquake. reuters.com google.co.uk Joe Biden shouldn’t had keep Trump era immigration policy that disadvantages the migrants (legal and illegals) by deporting them without court hearing & all was an excuse due to Covid 19. 

Look, immigration will always be sensitive topic so US of A should continue to welcome newcomers into the country where they can live, study and work for years so that he/she can become US citizen because the person from different part of the world whether is Europe, Latin America, Caribbean, Asia, Middle East, Pacific, Africa or Oceania is future American citizen. That is where the American dream is achieved. 

I hope I will come back to visit America to visit other places so that I can achieve my own American dream (& I don’t mean the American dream as in becoming the citizen of the United States) by visiting 50 states (which to me is a bucket list). UK: Developed country behaving like a third world country

Honestly, I really don’t know what to say about this. 

Since the 2016 referendum result followed by two national general elections, UK leaves the EU on 31st January 2020 & the end of the transition period on New Year’s Eve 2020 with the effects of Brexit have been in effect since New Year’s Day 2021 (1st January 2021) this year, things have gone terribly wrong for the United Kingdom. 

So 11 years of austerity implemented by the Conservative government being in power with three prime ministers. Plus the mismanagement of the Covid situation and the effects of Brexit (everything from food shortages, lorry driver shortages & even milkshake to gas energy shortages). Now Petrol fuel shortages with panic bullying at Petrol stations across the country. The government can go straight to hell. I am very stunned to read about all of these from few weeks to last month. Last week was gas energy crisis 

Now it is a new week with petrol shortages. What is all of this? It’s so strange. It’s like a film except it is not a film. Mad Max. Everyone is freaking out. This have not been like that since the 1970s with events like the winter of discontent. I hope this upcoming winter & the festive season, it wouldn’t have to be the case.

Moveover, a year ago I read the article from CNN, saying about the UK becoming an “emerging market”. In fact, I didn’t even wanted to believe it in the first place. After all, it was predictable and avoidable. Yet the Tory Brexit government doesn’t seem to care & turned the blind eye. Believing things will all be okay & better as the UK is outside the European Union. Land of milk and honey silly concept with words “freedom” and “sovereignty” and yes “taking back control”. It has really been proven to be a farce. 

So in other words, the UK is being placed in the same position with countries are developing/emerging market countries who are not developed nations. The likes of Turkey, Mexico, Argentina, South Africa and because of Brexit red tape, bureaucracy, customs duties and the pandemic, that shows us the UK right now is not in the same position as developed countries (USA, France, Germany) and that we are a third country (non EU member state) & seemingly behaving a like a third world countries who aren’t rich & are indeed low income. Example: every country in the African continent who is not rich like the West (USA, Canada & Europe). 

As you can see the photos, you’ll think that it is Zimbabwe, South Africa, Cuba, India, Venezuela, Argentina, El Salvador, Brazil or even Lebanon. Well this is not either of them. It is here in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. Yes!!! The UK.

That is why Brexit represents isolation and it is the policy of isolation economically and politically. Even mentally and personally. 

All of that proves that I am glad that I voted against Brexit (I voted remain to stay in the European Union) . Knowing the UK will be isolated & this is very clear example of it. I wish that people should stop voting Tory every time there is a general election. Now it is nothing but an consequences. Apart from Brexit, also austerity measures. Austerity cuts have improved that the government doesn’t care about ordinary people. Especially for those who are on benefits with cuts to welfare, sanctions & unnecessary assessments (such as fit to work test/work capability assessment). All that contributes to the rise of the food banks. 

Soon, very soon there will be a cut to £20 uplift of Universal Credit and the end of furlough scheme (despite we are not out of the woods as far the coronavirus pandemic is concerned). 

So shame on Prime Minister Boris Johnson, Conservative and Brexiteers for turning the UK into isolated country. Seriously, how is that Global Britain? Post Brexit Britain being undermined in the world stage with the prime minister who is not a proper world leader. I am deeply saddened to how this country have really become now it is nearly 9 months since the UK left the EU single Market and the Customs Union. It is very unbelievable & I am very stunned to read about what have been going with this country lately. Heartbreaking.

Afghanistan: Now what after US withdrawal?

Nowadays we don’t hear much on the news about Afghanistan. 🇦🇫

Well I haven’t forgotten about it given I published two blog posts about it.

So what now after US withdrawal? 

Well the country is now already taken by the Taliban. Terrorist group that had been ousted out of power by America in 2001 after 9/11 attacks occurred on September 11th. 

In fact few weeks ago, America and the world marked 20 years since the awful tragedy that happened in New York, Washington, D.C. and Pennsylvania. 

However we all know the truth that Afghanistan was not responsible for 9/11 attacks. We know Al Qaeda & Osama Bin Laden (the perpetrators. Mostly of them came from Saudi Arabia) are responsible for that. No doubt about it but why invade the country that didn’t attacked America? Gone to invade Iraq on the false impression that the country had chemical weapons which they (Iraqis) never had whilst going after the dictator Saddam Hussein. 

The war in Afghanistan was America’s longest war since the Vietnam war. NATO troops including the UK were there. Following America’s lead. 

With all of Foreign troops gone, life in Afghanistan have become much harder for the Afghans under the Taliban rule. The govt under Tailban have been contradicting so much given we the world don’t believe the word they say. Despite insisting that they have “changed” since the 1990s.

Look at the news articles since the presence of Americans, British and US led coalition allies (NATO) are no longer there in Afghanistan. It is very unbelievably bad.

Now does it look the Taliban have changed their ways since gaining grounds across Afghanistan & coming into power? Absolutely not

Afghan women and girls are being treated horribly like a second class citizens. They (Taliban) even removed female TV anchors and replacing them with their own members. Taliban having a media air platform to the world. It really makes me my skin crawl to see these awful barbarians who have no regards to human rights. 

That brings me back to the question that I said in previous blog post. What have America, Britain and NATO done for the last 20 years other than the eradication of Al Qaeda and Bin Laden? None 

The withdrawal from Afghanistan should had been done smoothly, safely and orderly. Instead, it was done chaotically. I am not impressed with Joe Biden (US President) at all. No wonder the last president (Donald Trump) was so selfish to negotiate with the Taliban in February 2020 on the condition that they (US troops) should be out of Afghanistan. 

As an person who is strongly against war and intervention, I support the withdrawal. However NATO troops should had been out of Afghanistan long time ago even Biden admitted that America was not there for “nation building”. 

Finally, for some of the Afghan people who had left the country which is now already in very awful mess, became refugees & being settled in their new countries: UK, USA, Canada, Germany, Spain & other countries.

This is why America shouldn’t had invaded & occupy Afghanistan in the first place. When it comes to war, conflict & poverty (particularly extreme poverty) & even climate change, that’s where people in their own countries becomes refugees and asylum seekers. 

Even America admitted that it was mistake to use a drone strike to kill innocent Afghans who were not members of ISIS K (ISIS affiliate of terror group). 

Here in the UK, we really got to get our homes in order because the Home Office are clearly not thinking sense. Wanting to turn away refugees and asylum seekers from countries like Afghanistan, Iran, Yemen, Syria, Iraqi & even Somalia and Kurdistan in the English Channel on the boat back to France. google.co.uk Which is where they are currently based in Calais. 

Recently in America, US border patrol officers whipped the migrants from Haiti in Del Rio, Texas. Haiti have suffered enough problems: the assassination of the president & recent earthquake (first time since 2010). google.co.uk reuters.com 

There will always be ignorant people who doesn’t want refugees and asylum seekers whether they arrived in the country legally or illegally. Refugees & asylum seekers is distinctly different from migrant/immigrant (economic migrants) so it is not the same. For those who doesn’t want refugees and asylum seekers coming to any country like USA, UK or any country, the person is ignorantly racist, bigot and xenophobic. 

When asylum seekers and refugees come to the country, we should politely welcome them with open arms and acknowledge why the person is in difficult position & to make a new home until eventually the person can return to the country they had fled & that the country that he/she originally from is in stability and recovered. 

I hope and pray one day that would be the case for Afghanistan and other countries being affected by war and bad authoritarian govt. 🇦🇫

My thoughts goes to the Afghan people. 

Shame on Taliban and definitely shame on the West (USA, UK & NATO). This would be the last time I talked about the country who is in trouble. Horrifying trouble and that the Afghans (Afghan citizens) definitely needs help from the international community. Please help the Afghan people if you can. Thank you.

Car Park Attendant? No thank you

I have something that I want to tell you guys. 

As you are already aware that I am currently job hunting and that I do hope my blog can possibly lead me to employment. 

Well last year in September. Two months before I created this blog (my blog Mr Limitless 95), I received the call from my work coach) from my local JobCentre in Hendon about the job vacancy. 

The job vacancy she told me is the job role of Car Park attendant. She said there are two shifts. One in the morning (6am to 9am) & another one in the afternoon (3pm to 6pm). The role is inspect things in the car park, etc. 

I said to her that I’ll call her back by Friday which two days later, I called her to decline the offer of job vacancy of car park attendant as I had thought about it. I said to the work coach from jobcentre saying kindly “thank you for the offer however I chose not to accept the job vacancy of car park attendant”. 

She understood and respected my decision (thank god, I was not sanctioned on my benefits. Although I will not disclose at the moment what benefit do I claim). I told her that my preferred work is remote working & offline/admin work & that she has my CV which I gave her in 2019. The last time I attended a Jobcentre in Hendon was two years ago. Before the coronavirus pandemic and series of lockdowns throughout the country the UK.

So yeah, I was not interested and I am still not interested of the job role of the car park attendant.

Why?

I was not feeling sure about the car park attendant. 

The role is confrontational & that it can be frustrating and brings stress.

It doesn’t match my ability of what I can & cannot do on terms of the job role. The job itself is not bad but the role itself can be stressful as well. So yeah, it doesn’t match my skills & my strength since it’s all about writing papers & leaving “yellow” plastic notice on cars while inspecting.

So the car park attendant/traffic warden job role is not for me. I am sorry but I have to be true to myself.

Plus she has my CV as I gave her last year so I don’t understand why she thinks that I can be good for the car park attendant role. Car park attendant (no way). Not for me. 

Can you imagine? DWP Jobcentre work coach suggesting a ridiculous offer for someone particularly those who is a benefit claimant to take the job that he/she may not enjoy? Like a traffic warden/car park attendant. That’s why I said before that work coaches are not career advisers, mentors or trainers. They are just there at Jobcentre, following the orders of managers, supervisors and bosses so that they would rather see benefit claimant fail to find work so that he/she can be sanctioned or his/her benefit which is very cruel and unnecessary. I also said before some work coaches can be helpful and some cannot be helpfuL. It depends. 

At least when I was at the college as an student, I trusted career advisers on the career path that I want to go & what decisions I will make based on my own choices. 

So yeah, I will never apply for any job that doesn’t match my abilities or anything that I may not be suitable. Car Park attendant? No thank you. 

At least I am earning money as an blogger based on advertisement. 

Born in the “wrong” generation?

“Talking about my generation” - The Who 

I don’t know about you but I come across this video on YouTube. Short clip video 

The guy who claims that he is Jamaican only & denies that he is African is the same person (YouTuber I think). This time, the guy time travels to the past, wishing that he lived in the 1960s. Claiming that he is born in the “wrong” generation. 

Anyway please be advised that the short video that I attached contains profanity (swearing/bad language) and racial slur (the words that you may find it offensive). 

Moreover, it may be a funny video but I don’t know really if any of that makes sense. Especially I think it is not a fair generalisation. As if blacks wants to go in the past & live the racist era with the time machine. 

I don’t know anyone who say that he/she is born in the “wrong” generation regardless of skin colour. As someone with ethnicity background, I would never want to live in any racist eras (apartheid in South Africa, segregation in USA) or even slavery in any era.

So I have no idea why the guy in the video wishes that he lived in the 60s. If I was him, I would never suggest any time period that were completely racist. I would also listen to the Who song “My generation” because to say that the person is born in the “wrong” generation, meaning the person (him or her) is not being grateful that the generation (particularly the millennial & even younger generation like Generation Z) are way different generations than previous generations like Baby Boomers & Generation X. 

I say this as an millennial who was born in the mid 90s & grown up with some things that were not around in the generation of my parents like internet, PC (personal computer), email, etc. My first phone was the phone with buttons before we do have smart phones and I didn’t had my own tablet computer (Apple iPad) until I went to America in 2012 with my mum & my younger brothers. Even the Internet cafe. Nobody uses the Internet cafe (& I think it is old fashioned), typewriter or pen pal since nowadays we are so hooked on social media & smart phones & all that stuff. 

At the end of the day in my point of view, there are something that we can be grateful & sometimes not being grateful on some thing but to wish that you were born in your parent’s generation or grandparent’s generation because you don’t like some things currently at this present time, then I think there is something wrong with you. 

So would I say that I am born in the “wrong” generation? My answer: Even if there are some things that I do not like or something I cannot understand, I don’t think that I was born in the wrong generation so no. 

I really don’t get why the person is having some thoughts. Claiming that he is only Jamaican & not wanting to admit that he is African and now a video of him wishing that he lived in the 1960s. 

At least this song was released in the 1960s. Sung by the legendary English rock band. The Who. 

Northern Line trains goes to Battersea

Hi guys 

This will be an interesting blog post. That was something that I was excited about it. Northern Line extension to Battersea. 

So yesterday, Two new stations were opened : Battersea Power Station Tube Station and Nine Elms. Opened on Monday 20th September 2021. 😀🙂👏🚇 Now the total of London Underground stations is 272. Previously it was 270. Now it has risen to 2 new stations. Battersea and Nine Elms.

As Londoner & train lover, this is exciting. Very exciting. Hopefully I’ll found a perfect time to visit there. Battersea Power Station and Nine Elms. 😀🙂🚇😁

Hopefully at some point within next days and weeks, I will talk more about my love for trains and why so I love using the Tube. London Underground and then maybe, I might talk about my own experience of travelling on Barcelona metro trains and Paris metro trains.

Also two interesting facts about Battersea. One. Power station (Battersea Power Station. Perhaps that is why it should have been called “Battersea Power Station Station” given none of all 271 tube stations have been named “station”). Two. Battersea Power Station is included on 1977 album Animals by rock band Pink Floyd. 

So if you are thinking of visiting two new tube stations in South West London, find a good time perfectly to come over to visit there. Go on the ride with Northern Line train (Charing Cross branch) that normally go to Kennington (mostly to terminate & sometime continuing all the way = all stations to Modern). Well as of yesterday, two more stops from Kennington to Battersea via Nine Elms. 

Moreover, the whole infrastructure expansion project (Northern Line extension to Battersea) costs £1.1 Billion. That have been ongoing until yesterday for 6 years (2015) and that I know it will create new jobs and new homes in Battersea. Good for London & and the UK. Especially that is needed for the post pandemic world as Covid have severely impacted public transport worldwide not just in London or anywhere in the UK.

Two new tube stations is the first time that has happened this century (21st century), new stations for Northern Line in 80 years and the first time that there is a tube extension since the Jubilee Line extension in the late 1990s so over 20 years ago and i know for the fact that Jubilee Line trains used to terminate at Charing Cross before 1999. 

So yeah, I am excited for the new Northern Line stations: Nine Elms and Battersea. Plus, there is some talks of the idea of extending Northern Line Trains to Clapham Junction (therefore making a new terminus like yesterday for Battersea). It is not on the cards at the moment. One thing I can say is that only time will tell. What do you think of it everybody? 

The end of the metric system in the UK?

This really going to sound crazy and ridiculous. It looks the government in the United Kingdom wants to ditch the metric system and bringing back the imperial system that was abolished in the 1970s. 

For everybody who does not live in the United States, Liberia and Myanmar (3 countries who doesn’t uses the metric system) who has the imperial system, then like myself, we are used to the metric system. 

😂 The imperial system. The most of the world uses the metric system including this country the UK. I know the country used to have the imperial system but why bring it back? Makes zero sense. Another reason why some voters voted for Brexit is nostalgia.

Boris Johnson, Tories and Brexiteers & the whole government has short of ideas & being so silly. 

Apart from Brexit, now they (the govt) wants to ditch the metric system in the UK & re introducing the Imperial system (that was discontinued in the 70s). What a rubbish idea. Most of the world uses the Metric System except USA, Liberia & Myanmar.

In the United States, the imperial system is: Fahrenheit, pounds, gallons, inches, ounces, stones pint, foot, yards, gill and mile. 

In the rest of the world, the metric system is: Celsius, metre, kilo (kilograms = kg), gram, milligram, centimetres = cm, kilometre, millimetre, litre, millilitre and centilitre. 

We may be taught in maths lessons (math, mathematics) regarding how the imperial system works but we are mostly taught & uses the metric system because we are used to it. That is unless of course if you live in one of the three countries who doesn’t use the metric system. 

Even when you buy milk or ordered a drink (pint of any drink like alcoholic drink or sugar fuzzy drinks), it’ll be shown in pints. You may say the UK has the mixture of both systems: Imperial and metric systems. But everything is in the Metric System. 

So getting rid of the metric system in Britain, makes no logical sense. Plus I wasn’t around in the 1970s or any era prior to discontinuing the imperial system in the UK in the mid 70s as I have no memories of that. Some people who had lived in the 1970s might remember it. But being nostalgic about the past (Britain’s past history) & wanting to return some stuff like the imperial system & the death penalty will be never accepted in this date and age in my opinion.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson must better think twice before getting rid of the metric system in the UK. It is silly and dumb idea to ditch the metric system. 

I took the Covid test for the first time

I took the Covid test

For the first time since the start of the pandemic, I took the Covid test today. The result: Negative

My first ever Covid test. Thanks goodness that I am not Covid 19 positive. In fact, I was quite worried if I am Covid 19 positive but anyway, I am lucky. 

I took a Covid test because I applied for the job vacancy. Although I must admit it was so uncomfortable to me to have it. Covid test (swab from the mouth & the nose. Very uncomfortable feeling. At least it was worth it). 😀😂🙂🙂🥲😀

Since the start of the pandemic, I have been lucky. Especially that I am fully vaccinated as of last month after receiving two doses in the summer (June & August). 🙂😀

Especially you (my readers) already know that as i wrote two blog posts about me receiving a vaccine dose. 

Also here is the reminder. We are not out of the woods yet and that we are still in the pandemic. Covid is not gone. So please i advise you everybody to paid less attention to nonsense stuff or any disinformation about coronavirus and the vaccine. Let’s continue to play our part to put a end to the pandemic worldwide by social distancing, hand washing and mask wearing & getting two doses of the vaccine (If you have not been vaccinated yet) . Even it is not compulsory anymore so that we can finally get on our lives & restart the economy & having normality restored. No disinformation can end the pandemic or the words of the politician. So let’s all continue to play our role to defeat Covid 19 virus. Whatever we live here in the world. 

The sad state of Edgware Railway Hotel pub

Short blog post 

Last week Friday, I was deeply sad to hear about the Railway Hotel in Edgware. The long neglected pub is affected by fire incident. 🤦‍♂️😔

Barnet Council and Historic England have not even bothered to do something to save the pub. Earlier this year I wrote a blog post about it. mrlimitless95.blogspot.com

Also the petition currently stands 772 signatures. Please kindly sign the petition. If you want to know more about the campaign to save the railway hotel pub in Edgware, follow Mark on Twitter (@Superfast72) and Roger (@Barneteye). 

Something must be done to save the pub that have remained shut for 16 long years. For me, I know that I couldn’t just take it anymore. So to my readers, If you want to restore the Railway Hotel pub back to its former glory, then please the sign. It is nearly 800 signatures and I would want the petition to reach 1000 signatures so that can gain enough attention. 

So that is all I want to say about the railway hotel pub in Edgware.

AUKUS, Post Brexit & China

So three countries have formed the military alliance as of last night. AUKUS: Australia, the United Kingdom and the United States. Announced by Boris Johnson (UK), Joe Biden (USA) and Scott Morrison (Australia). 

So let me get this straight. Three countries formed a defence and security pact. Announced by American, Australian and British governments so that the UK and the US can assist Australia by giving them a nuclear submarines. 

Well here is my take. 

My take

I knew that the UK in post Brexit era will be close to the United States and Commonwealth countries like Australia. Two of the Five Eyes countries (with New Zealand & Canada) but that never crossed my mind. AUKUS (Australia, UK & US). I thought it would be an announcement of CANZUK.

CANZUK (Canada, Australia, New Zealand, UK) - post Brexit Anglosphere alliance to be alternative than the European Union 🇪🇺(I still think it’s a dumb idea). Oh boy, 🇺🇸🇬🇧🇦🇺🙄🤦

I even wrote previous blogs stating why Britain is move closer away from Europe and wanting to be in CPTPP (trade of 11 Asia Pacific countries) despite the UK is not in the Asia Pacific region  geographically. mrlimitless95.blogspot.com mrlimitless95.blogspot.com mrlimitless95.blogspot.com I said before that geography matters and that CANZUK is no better alternative than the EU27. That’s why the UK is moving away from European standards to any country standards like American standards. See the announcement of the formation of AUKUS, that is a clear example why the relationship between the UK and the EU will not be the same again despite they are allies and partners. It’s not the same when the UK was the EU member state. 

No wonder Brexiteers have been dreaming about Britain’s past & being nostalgic about the empire (British empire). At least, the UK won’t leave NATO any time soon & that it wouldn’t have to be part of the European Army (if that were to happen anytime in the future). 

It’s all good except Australia will have nuclear submarines despite not having nuclear weapons. ☢️ I get why Australia’s relationships between UK and USA are close allies since I know they are allies and friends but for the Land Down Under to have nuclear submarines? I don’t know about you but it is all for defence & national security reason. 

Plus France is not happy with it. Australia scrapping the defence deal with the French. 

And China reacted, calling it “Cold War mentality). Knowing there is no democracy in authoritarian China. & New Zealand & Canada is not in AUKUS defence pact. Even Jacinda Ardern (Prime Minister of New Zealand) does not want any part of it. So yeah, mixed feelings about it. 

Finally in my opinion, it is mixture of good and bad. 

The announcement of defence pact (alliance between UK, US & Australia) AUKUS to counter the influence of China in Indio Pacific region, although I do recongise that the Chinese is authoritarian menace, at the same thing, last thing we need is confrontation between the West & China or even Cold War with China & Russia despite I cannot stand both Xi Jingping & Vladimir Putin and what I see on the news media is nothing but scaremongering & provocation. In fact, why NATO countries like the likes of USA, UK, France & Germany are doing in the Indio Pacific region? Especially in the South China Sea? 

You know I am saying from anti war/anti intervention point of view. So I hope three nations know what are they doing so that it does not turn into a direct confrontation with the Chinese in warfare.

My rant on GP E consult

This is a rant & today I am going to rant on e consult. I don’t often rant on things unless it happened in my personal life. For the sake of it, I will not publicly disclose anything because of safety and confidential reasons. 

It is I am not impressed with my local GP. A month ago I recall talking about it on my previous blog. mrlimitless95.blogspot.com 

Here is why

My disabled brother who is non verbal, has autism spectrum disorder, severe learning disability/difficulty, OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder) and challenging behaviour, was admitted to the hospital for 4 days. Two weeks ago. By then, my brother was feeling unwell. Luckily, he was getting better & being discharged from the hospital 11 days ago (almost two weeks ago). Feeling much better and that his health have improved despite we (myself, the carer, my two younger brothers, my dad & my mum) had to come to terms that he (my brother) is diabetic (type 1) & that he was feeling poorly & losing energy. 

The reason: Neglect from GP due to the e consult (e consultation). There were not being there for my brother for the help he needed. I said before in my previous blog, this is life or death matter. I was very disgusted with my GP local surgery for not being helpful with the e consult. 

I know the carer had took him to the hospital for a blood test prior to two weeks ago (my brother’s health which had deteriorated) to figure out why was really going on with his health despite he (my brother) is fit and active. My disabled brother feeling unwell & losing energy in his system had contributed to his diagnosis as diabetic & that it did affected his mobility. Thank god that I thanked the Lord for saving my brother. When he was taken by the paramedics to the hospital, I cried with tears in eyes. I did. It was heartbreakingly sad. 

Even in my mum’s family side, my grandma is also diabetic & my dad’s family side which my dad’s sister (my aunt) is diabetic. 

Because of the Covid pandemic, my local GP as of last year March 2020 had gone from being walk in premises to appointment only building. 

Although throughout the summer while Covid rates are down in England, when my brother started to become unwell (some point last month in August), my GP surgery was not being so helpful in terms of allowing the patient to see the doctor for emergency reasons. Other than just filling in e consult (GP e consult - e consultation). Not calling GP to book an appointment to see the doctor by walk in or call. 

Before Covid, it wasn’t always the case. Me, mum & the carer was not happy with GP for not being there for Mbulelo & that’s how it happened. 

Of course, no GP would want anyone who could potentially be having Covid 19 symptoms but doing e consult stuff really serves no purpose at all. What’s the point of having a GP if no one is able availably to see the doctor about his/her health & well being? It makes zero senses. 

& there was some questions that was awfully stupid on E consult. 

At least in the end, the doctor at my GP had responded to the situation of my brother’s health at the time before going for blood test & eventually being diagnosed with diabetes. 

I also didn’t appreciated when paramedics, nurses & doctors were saying things that were not conclusive whilst doing a test. Covid (despite he is fully vaccinated), TB (Tuberculosis), Epilepsy & Leukaemia whilst my brother who is vulnerable, was at the hospital.

So that is my rant on GP e consult. 

While my brother was at the hospital, I didn’t feel that it would be appropriate for me to talk about until he was getting better (which he had recovered and being discharged from the hospital). 

Diabetes and anaemia that had contributed to my brother feeling unwell. 

Now he will now not eat & drink anything that is unhealthy. Anything from drinks that has sugar (Coca cola) = fizzy drinks to snacks like ice creams, sweets (candy) and chocolates. Now that he is diabetic.

And as for GP, next time if that happens again with neglect & not helping anyone for emergency (my brother is the example as I have talked about in my today’s blog), I would filled in an complaint to them & maybe stop attending to GP surgery from appointments to collecting prescriptions. I wouldn’t want to do that. GP have to be there for anybody. Covid 19 is not going anyway soon as we already come to terms to live with it. Gradually, I hope GP e consult should be discontinued especially that I have explained to you my readers about my story in my own personal life, highlighting why e consult is really a disadvantage. Not an advantage. It really remind me of my Spanish online friend who has anorexia, didn’t get a treatment due to the pandemic & GP surgeries ceased to be “walk in” centres on premises. That’s why I am no fan of e consult.

UK - Australia trade deal & climate change

Couple of months ago, I recall writing about the UK - Australia trade deal and that it was signed by Boris Johnson (UK Prime Minister) and Scott Morrison (Australian Prime Minister). I recall talking about how shambolic is the post Brexit FTA (free trade agreement) between Australia and the United Kingdom. 

Now three months later, Sky News (UK) broke the news on Wednesday with the shocking contradictions from the government regarding the shambolic UK - Australia trade deal by dropping commitments from Paris Climate Accord. Tories & Brexiteers are really, truly & unbelievably liars.

“Ministers agreed to bow to pressure from Australia to drop binding commitments to the Paris climate change agreement from the UK-Australian trade deal, a leaked government email obtained by Sky News has revealed.”

“Liz Truss, the trade secretary, and Kwasi Kwarteng, the business secretary, decided the government could "drop both of the climate asks" from the text of the trade deal, according to the email from a senior official.”

“Among the areas to be removed was "a reference to Paris Agreement temperature goals".”

“Sky News understands the treaty text will contain a reference to Paris, but the reference to specific temperature commitments is disappearing.”

“Government sources confirmed that the references to temperature are now "implicit" rather than spelt out in the text of the trade treaty.”

So that is “Global Britain”. Dropping commitments from the treaty (Paris Climate Agreement) to combat climate change in order to secure the free trade deal with Aussies. The government are really selfish. 

Plus why the Australian govt added pressured on the government (British) to agree for the trade deal by lowering standards which will be very harmful for the environment? No wonder the country Australia had suffered wildfires. Particularly at the start of last year in 2020. 

You see, that is why countries like Australia and America can play hardball in trade negotiations and Australia did played a hardball. See how the conclusion of the awful trade deal with the land down under. 

Bad deal for UK farmers & that they are feeling undercut. That will affect their likelihoods. 

Australia having tariff free access to UK farms. 

Australia meat imported to the UK in supermarket shops and now this. No climate change commitments being part of the UK - Australia trade deal as it has been dropped. And lowering standards. 

Shame on both governments. UK and Australia.

Tips to stay safe from all type of scams

As I am prepared to have a court date 5 months from now regarding my legal challenge against Travel Unravel & Barclays - Two defendants, a friend of mine who is an blogger (Roger Tichborne of the Barnet Eye) recently published his blog about Tips for avoiding telephone or internet scammers on Monday. 

Well I have to say that although it is an interesting blog piece, I am gladly thankful that I didn’t experience telephone scam or internet scam. Tips to stay safe from all type of scams

Based on my experience of being victim of fraud and scam, with good tips from my friend Roger on his blog post being published on Monday (two days ago. The day before yesterday), here are my own tips to stay safe from all forms of scams. barneteye.blogspot.com 

Tip 1. Computer/tech support scam 

mrlimitless95.blogspot.com I previously talked about my three tips in my March 2021 blog post & not falling for computer/tech support scam or any telephone scam. So it is worth reminder that if you received a call on your phone or telephone from fraudulent scammer claiming to be from IT/ICT tech support team of any company like Microsoft & that they say that there is something wrong with your computer, or that the scammer claims to be from HMRC (or any tax revenue depending which country you live in, claiming you have not pay taxes) or any organisation/company, my advice is do not believe the word of it. 

Just don’t believe what the scammer say. They got nothing (no sufficient evidence to back it up) other than deceiving an potential innocent victim into the devastating situation. 

When the fraudulent person who is an fraudster scammer call you, understand that the person (him or her) is not genuine & that his/her phone number is a phone that person who had been called would struggle to call him/her in a response. Spoofing a caller ID especially in this day and age is really problematic including when scammer took advantage of the organisations like Norton & Microsoft. Also tax revenues like UK HMRC or any company by trying to tarnish the reputation of the companies and to give them a bad name. We see that during the coronavirus pandemic & before that. Scammer can even claim to be someone different which we know that we people have to make sure that we do not fall for it. It can be frightening and intimidating but it is worthy knowing that you do not have to become victim of the horrible scam. 

Tip 2. Booking for flight ticket & taxicab 

I am sure many of you my readers know already about my situation with Travel Unravel which I became victim of scam and fraud. Flight ticket that was never issued & that it was for my dad’s friend who turned out to be an awful friend & who did bothered my father to come to the UK from Nigeria in awfully bad time when the country (United Kingdom) just entered the third nationwide Covid lockdown. 

You may remember when I talked about my experience of fraud and scam in my February 2021 blog post that in summer of 2019, I became victimised of taxi scam in Paris, France. See in the list 2. mrlimitless95.blogspot.com 

For those who aren’t aware, long story short: the guy (taxi driver) approached me at the station, asked me if I wanted a ride. Given I was going for Uber, I said yes. Next thing, I was conned and victimised by the scammy rogue taxi driver. Fare price was ridiculously €75 (£70). 

My advice to you: When it comes to booking a flight ticket whether is for yourself or someone, make sure that the website you are booking from is legitimate website. I am talking of legit and reliable website (travel booking websites like last minute.com, and airline websites). Because if you went on the website that is airline website or travel booking websites that is not legitimately reliable & doesn’t issue flight tickets (example Travel Unravel Private Holidays), you’ll end up being victim of scam by the potential fraudulent travel agency company or any website. So check before you do purchase the flight ticket online. 

On taxi cabs, whether is in London, Paris, Barcelona, New York, Tokyo or any city in the world, make sure you booked for a taxi cab that is not going to rip you off with rip off fare prices that is not genuinely normal price. It is about the destination & how long will journey take (length of time = duration). Example: if I want to go Camden Town & that I am coming from Barnet with taxi cab, I would want to be sure that the fare price is reasonable. Reasonably normal price because nowadays, people would book the hail and ride apps like Uber instead of the expansive black cabs in London for a cheap fare & I occasionally use the hail and ride apps (the likes of Uber, Free Now formerly Kapten, Bolt and Ola). Not ordinary cabs like black cabs. 

So my recommendation is use any reliable cab that is not going to rip you off, look for reasonable & cheap fare & use ride and hail app like Uber (if you want to). Never allow any potential rogue taxi driver to take the advantage of you even if he/she asks you with question whether you want to go on the ride or not. You make your own decision accordingly & not have to fall for any potential taxi scam. 

And if you are not going to use a hail and ride app (the likes of Uber), make sure that the taxi driver & the cab has the taxi meter so that you know to pay for the fare price (as long it is not expensive).

Tip 3. Internet scam and clickbait  

Another advice that I am giving you is internet scam and click bait advertisement.

When it comes to clickbait and any internet advertisement (especially pop up) who can be false potentially, don’t believe what you see on the internet. In fact, don’t click anything that may looks interesting and then, it happens to you awfully with the terrible internet scam by deceiving you. It’s a trick. It happened to me once earlier this year & I know that I will never let it happen to me again. 

Tip 4. Keeping your money safe online and offline

Always change a password and keep it secure. It is very vital that your personal details (including your card details) is safe so it won’t have to be ended up in the wrong hands of scammers and fraudsters. Especially when you buy things online on sites like eBay and Amazon. Things can happen. Even if you never added your card details on any website accounts and that you don’t buy things on the net often or that you happened to never buy it online. It’ll result into data breach, identity theft  & hacking. 

It only happened to me in 2019 once when two idiots figured out my card details (account number, card number and sort code). I still don’t get why were two fraudulent transactions which I never purchased. American gun website and Hong Hong/Dutch game website. Luckily, I was refunded. Good for my bank Barclays when they called me on the phone about it.

Also never post your bank card (debit card or credit card) details online (particularly on social media sites & Internet forums). It is risky so don’t even think about it. It is for your own good and your safety. You don’t want anything unusual & unrecognised transaction that you never purchased to appear on your bank statement or your transaction list on your bank mobile app. So stay safe and protect your money online and offline. 

And finally. 

Tip 5. Be fraud smart. 

Take it from me (the person who have been victimised of fraud and scam on 5 occasions). It is never a good feeling to be humiliatingly taken advantage by criminals & fraudulent scammers who does not have shame of victimising innocent people to be victims of any sort of scam and fraud. 

Since you know that I have been victimised of scam and fraud 5 times. few months ago, I have blocked one foolish person (which I have not met him in person despite of my Facebook friends are friends with him) for trying to con me by into apply for this scam which I have not heard of until July 2 months ago. Economy Help Fund. “Economy Help Fund” does not exist. It is a scam. I don’t know why the guy had wanting me to be his friend & telling me all of bulls**t about “economy help fund” scam. Unless if he knew me (which I know I haven’t met him in person before) then he would been careful before asking me such a crap or making attempt to con me. That is unacceptable. No wonder he doesn’t seem to understand “economy help fund” scam is really a scam. I have no issues with him being self employed all but to ask me by conning me which he has no idea that I have been victim of scam and fraud, he should really be ashamed of not thinking carefully. I don’t have time for any of bulls**t (economy help fund) or anything that can be fraudulent potentially. I also have no time for anyone who tries to persuade me to go into cryptocurrency trading which I do not have a interest & will never have a interest. I am glad that I researched about it. Nothing say economy help fund except that it is really fraudulent. Very dodgy. I even wonder how does the guy (that I blocked him) is able to make money of something that is fraudulent. Anyways I do not have time for that. It\"s same that I do not have time for any person trying to persuade me to go into trading (stock market trading) with cryptocurrency & all that.

So that is all of my tips of how to stay safe from all forms of scams. I hope I have given you an advice so that you know that you won’t fall for any type of scam in order to be fraud smart.

Covid and courts: Justice being delayed

Last week I talked about on my previous blog that I have the court date that will be held next year on 7th February 2022 regarding my legal challenge against Travel Unravel and Barclays. mrlimitless95.blogspot.com 

I really believe that is too long given I started my legal challenge earlier this year in March 2021. 6 long months (soon to be 5 months). 

So I really want to talk about why the coronavirus pandemic have severely impacted the courts in the United Kingdom. The law sector. Now I don’t know if that also happens in any country (which I am sure it must had impacted everywhere in the world) that any of you readers happened to be reading from overseas. 

I recall watching the news earlier this year on BBC News about how Covid affected the courts & I came across this news sources about it.

It is not easy during the coronavirus pandemic & it was not easy last year 2020 when the pandemic affected everything. All business sectors, every walk of life & the court system. Worldwide including here in the UK. 

The impact of Covid 19 on the justice system was due to the impact of court backlogs. I even knew about it just before I started my legal challenge in March. I wish I could had known more before launching a legal challenge which would had been a long process. Normally, the process can be long but not very very long. I assumed ideally that I would had a court date in the autumn either this month September, October, November or even December. Yet, I have to wait for next year 2022. 

So I am really complaining. I am just disappointed. Knowing that the time we get to February next year, it would had been a year since my bank Barclays deducted £522.23 from my bank account which resulted me in overdraft briefly & it would had been a year since I became victimised of scam and fraud by Travel Unravel scammers given the flight ticket was never being issued & the selfish woman (Helen. Helen U) who bothered my dad so much, came to the UK at awful time when the country just gone into third nationwide Covid lockdown. 

The point is that the backlog had delayed justice last year and some of the court trial were all delayed & postponed due to the Covid pandemic and some court cases wouldn’t be heard until 2022. Does it ring any bells? Even those who worked in the court system are frustrated with it. I recall watching news report on BBC News that like me, they had to wait for so long for their court cases to be heard at the court & before a jury & the verdict. That created a grave concern. 54,000 unheard cases. 

The bottom line is that we were not prepared for the pandemic to occur & sadly, it did. Not it did affected the court system but it’s also affected job professions in the law. Prisons, policing, probation and prosecutions. I really wished that the pandemic didn’t had to happened last year and if it didn’t, we wouldn’t hear the news about court delays for every singe individual’s unheard court cases and I wouldn’t had to be victim of scam and fraud by Travel Unravel & my bank Barclays putting me in overdraft debt. 

So that is all I want to say about it. Justice being delayed due to Covid 19.
